Security is more than ever a mandatory requirement in computer devices and in information systems. Efficient security solutions are demanded to overcome different problematics in application areas such as in networked embedded systems, distributed systems, the IoT, artificial intelligence, data science, Big Data and business intelligence, to mention a few. In addition, disruptive technologies such as blockchain, crypto-assets, and homomorphic encryption are attracting more attention due their potential to transform the way data and processing is secured.
This year, the "3rd Computer & Information Security: Methods and Applications -- CISMA" workshop will be held as part of the IEEE Mexican International Conference on Computer Science -- ENC 2024, in hybrid format, on September 23-25, 2024, at the Madero Institute of Technology, Ciudad Madero, Tamaulipas, Mexico.
The main goal of CISMA is to bring together both the research and industry communities to present new results on all views of computer and information security. Contributions that describe new methods for computer and information security as well as their secure-and-efficient hardware or software implementations are welcome.
Scope
The topics of CISMA include but are not limited to:
- Security and Privacy in Cyber-physical Systems, the IoT, Cloud Computing, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Business Intelligence
- Hardware/Software Architectures for Information Security
- Methods, Protocols, or Systems based on Cryptography
- Methods, Protocols, or Systems based on Data Hiding
- Blockchain and their Applications
- Crypto Assets
- Case Studies in Computer/Information Security Solutions
- Digital Forensics
- Network Security
- Malware Detection and Classification
- Digital Identity
- Security Architectures
- Security Testing
- Incident Identification and Response
- Vulnerability Assessment
- Mobile Security
- Dynamic Security
Submission Guidelines
Submission is now closed
In this edition, there are 2 modalities of participation, both with oral presentation:
- Full-length article: The manuscript must include the complete paper text, all illustrations, and references. Authors must adhere to the IEEE format: single-spaced, double column, US letter page size, 10-point size Times Roman font, up to 8 pages (IEEE conference template). Paper in this option will be published as full-length articles in proceedings by IEEE in its CPS series.
- Extended abstract: Authors of extended abstracts (500 words, free format) will be invited to send a full version of their work (submitted for additional review) to one of the following publications:
- Special issue in International Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems (Indexed in JCR with an impact factor of 2.9). The Call for Papers is available at https://link.springer.com/journal/44196/updates/26656828.
- A contributed book published in the Studies in Computational Intelligence series by Springer (indexed in Scopus). The Call for Chapters will be announced shortly.
The reviewing process is double-blind, so no indication of the authors' names should appear in the submitted full-length article or extended abstract.
At least one author of an accepted paper is required to register for, attend, and present the work at the workshop. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the paper not being included in the conference proceedings. The accepted manuscript must adhere to the requirements of IEEE Xplore. Authors are strongly encouraged to use the IEEE conference template to improve the quality of their the camera-ready version.
All accepted papers will be required to pass an IEEE Xplore compatibility test before publication.
