Graduated as an Electronic Engineer from the National University of Engineering in Nicaragua. In 2010 she graduated from the Master in Engineering Sciences in Microelectronics of the National Polytechnic Institute where also in 2014 she obtained the degree of Doctor in Communications and Electronics.

Currently, she is a researcher commissioned to INAOE through the CONACYT chairs program. Her research interests are in the fields of digital image processing and analysis, information security and cryptography. She is a reviewer of the magazine Microprocessors and Microsystems and of the IEEE Latin America Transactions.
