I am a Research Associate in the Department of Computer Science at the National Institute of Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE) located in Tonantzintla Puebla, Mexico.

My primary area of expertise is collective intelligence. I work on understanding the design and programming mechanisms that lead computers and robots to interact among themselves and with the world around, in order to reach common goals.

I hold a PhD in computer science, and an MSc in artificial intelligence and pattern recognition (DEA IARFA) from the University of Paris VI, France. I developed my research in the LIP6, the research laboratory of computer science of Paris VI.

I hold a second MSc in artificial intelligence awarded with honors by the graduate program in artificial intelligence (MIA), and a BSs in computer science both from the University of Veracruz, Mexico.
