About me

Hi,

I am currently a Ph.D. student majoring in Computer Science  at INAOE (México). I received the B. S. degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Puebla in 2004,  and the M. S. from INAOE in 2006 under the supervision of Olac Fuentes.  Now, I am working under the supervision of Manuel Montes and Enrique Sucar.

I am mainly interested on machine learning with applications on information (multimedia) retrieval and automatic image annotation.  Particularly, I am doing research on graphical models for estimating the semantic cohesion in multimedia collections. I am also interested on bio-inspired search strategies, model selection, ensembles , topic models, computer vision and benchmarking.

If you are interested in what I am doing, or if do you think we could work together in a research project please do not hesitate in contacting me.

Cheers!!!,

Hugo Jair
