The IMAV conference focuses on all scientific studies related to Micro Air Vehicles (MAVs), ranging from aerodynamics and design of small drones to their control and artificial intelligence. The conference is always combined with real-world competitions that aim to bring theory into practice and advance the state of the art. IMAV2024 (https://imavs.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=23b02cb0d0d4a9771fffe7965&id=22a7a75e7a&e=8dff9f03a1) will be organized by the University of Bristol in the United Kingdom.

** Call for Papers
------------------------------------------------------------

We are now inviting authors tosubmit papers for presentation at the conference. We welcome contributions to all aspects of MAVs, including, but not limited to:
* Sensing and perception for MAVs
* Multi-MAV systems and swarm intelligence
* Low Reynolds number aerodynamics
* Design of novel MAV types (hybrids, propulsion, silent drones)
* MAVs that interact robustly with their environment
* New control methods
* Reconfiguration of MAVs in unpredicted events
* Autonomous navigation in GPS-denied environments
* Integration of MAVs in airspace (sense-and-avoid, UTM, …)
* Application of MAVs in industry, agriculture, environmental monitoring, conservation, search and rescue operations

Articles will be fully peer-reviewed and published open access. A selection of best-reviewed articles will be invited to special issues in the International Journal of Micro Air Vehicles (https://imavs.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=23b02cb0d0d4a9771fffe7965&id=5bb2488b97&e=8dff9f03a1) and in Unmanned Systems (https://imavs.us14.list-manage.com/track/click?u=23b02cb0d0d4a9771fffe7965&id=ba3b161670&e=8dff9f03a1)
* Draft paper submission deadline: 31st May 2024
* Notification of acceptance: 10th July 2024
* Full paper submission deadline: 1st September 2024


** Competitions

IMAV always has indoor and outdoor competitions. The competitions have as goal to shorten the road from novel scientific insights to application of the technology in the field.
